Sun Gazette, “Treasurer Honored for Statewide Investing Initiative”
From the Arlington Sun Gazette:
County Treasurer Frank O’Leary recently was honored with a “Standing the Test of Time Award” for his efforts to create and support the Virginia SNAP (State Non-Arbitrage Program) in 1996.
The program created a statewide financial pool for governments and agencies across Virginia, where revenue received from the sale of tax-free government bonds could be invested on a short-term basis until they are needed to fund municipal projects.
O’Leary Announces for Re-Election
Dear Fellow Arlingtonian:
Since first taking office, I have been proud and privileged to serve as your treasurer. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the community I love. Accordingly, after personal reflection, discussions with my staff, friends, and family, and of course with the encouragement of Linda, my wonderful wife of over forty years, I have decided to seek re-election to serve another term as Arlington’s Treasurer.
